Webcams look very festive today! Guns blazing, blanket of natural, and moderate snow.
Yes it does, but also not great for snowmaking as the snow = higher humidity than you would normally like to push max snow from the guns. Guess we will see, at least K's webpage says current temp is 25. No idea what level that is measured at (KBL maybe?)

Airport is 33 degrees so 25 at KBL is probable which would put the top closer to 20. Looks like teens tonight and then back to marginal weather tomorrow before likely losing snowmaking temps on Friday. If they don't get open by Friday it will probably be another week.

SNOW REPORTER'S UPDATE

November 1, 2023 - 04:30 pm
Hooray! The Beast will officially be kicking off the 2023-24 winter season Friday, November 3 at 10:00 a.m. with a passholder appreciation day! After opening day, the K-1 Express Gondola will spin from 9:00 a.m.-β€―4:00 p.m. (last ride up at 3:00 p.m.) and North Ridge Quad will spin from 9:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. every day. We’ll use the Peak Walkway to get to and from the North Ridge Area for skiing and snowboarding – yes walking is required. All skiers and riders will download the K-1 Gondola at the end of the day.β€― Skiing and snowboarding will be on advanced terrain only, withβ€―a Woodward Mountain Park in the North Ridge area on Reason.

This year in lieu of an opening day gift we are giving our day one guests the opportunity to make a $10 donation to one of three charities in their honor, Burton Chill, Yes Kids and The Snow Angel Foundation. The team carefully selected these charities that support our snow sports community and align with our Play Forever initiatives. We know guests look forward to the opening day gift but hope you’ll see this gesture as a positive way to give back.

We’ve also been busy making snow on Superstar from top to bottom in anticipation for the Stifel Killington Cup.

A minute from the Alta exit off the I-15!
I think this is the best part-

This year in lieu of an opening day gift, opening day skiers and riders will also be able to choose from one of three charities – Burton Chill, Yes Kids and The Snow Angel Foundation – and Killington Resort will donate $10 in their honor. The team carefully selected these charities that support our snow sports community and align with our Play Forever initiatives. We know guests look forward to the opening day gift but hope you’ll see this gesture as a positive way to give back.

I think that's very cool and with the resort donating $10 for each guest that'll be some serious coin. A lot more $$ paid by the resort and a lot more benefit than another hat/shirt/whatever.

Unfortunately it looks like after today/tonight the next window is not until mid next week. That’s a ways off so details not locked in.

I would expect stairs next week again for a bit. After they shutdown tonight or tomorrow AM the next window at the earliest would be late Tuesday night (or skip and do Wednesday) but the nights after that are looking good. Of course, long way off!
