Does Killington allow IKON pass holders on first day, or only Killington pass holders ?
According to this article from last year, IKON pass was accepted on first day

We should see openings by Thursday/Friday. The GFS is marginal (a bit more natural but warmer temps), but the GEM forecast gives consistent cold deep into the country that could see mountains all over the place going for it.

There's plenty of variation in the models. (GFS is cold but not for long, Euro is marginal but for longer, and GEM is cold and longlasting...we can only dream) but I think all of those circumstances, especially combined with a little help from mother nature, give Killington enough to at least go for North Ridge.

IKON passholders welcomed. I believe this was the impetus to start offering the beast 365 pass because I have to think K passholders felt put off by offering that to IKON passholders with no reciprocal offer from IKON.

The cool thing about Killington is they are willing to take a chance on losing the mountain. Not many other places can afford to do it.

Yeah, K will power through and pay full rate if true. But it doesn't sound legit at all.

The reality is, and even more so today than a few decades ago, the early predicted forecasts say a week out, often show up 3-5+ degrees warmer and a day or 2 shorter. Very frustrating!

Yes, I agree there were some runs of some models that had this cold lasting longer. But the true honed in forecast has had for several days now a window from last night through Thursday midday at elevation (> 2,500’). 60 hours. Looks good but key is whether mid afternoon gets too warm.

Then a break until mid next week. That situation is all over the place on this mornings models…..

EDIT: added commentary on next week. The operational GFS - which feeds most phone apps - has clear and cold. But every model ensemble run - including the GFS - has a coastal.
