Yeah, the ground is still sopping wet. The first 12 hours or so of snowmaking early season is usually just covering up the slop enough to stick. Pretty warm down low right now too.

Yeah and I bet on Wednesday PM too. Way off.

I've cross referenced the source of the curtailment and that person definitely would know.

Any reason why the electric demand was forecasted to be so high that they needed curtailment? It’s not that cold.

Someone in K Zone (not someone I know or a regular I trust) claims to work for GMP, and said there are no curtailments. Also this reply by KScreenshot_20231031-183001.pngof on Instagram. So who knows πŸ€”

Suspect. Or they are slow (which they are not). At 8pm summits are 20 at Mansfield and 23 at Stratton (only good summit temps I have access too).

Believe marketing as far as you can throw them. I've been saying all afternoon this is a curtailment, I'm not making this stuff up lol. After recharging they are turning guns back on currently.

Thats only 5 to 8pm though.
Gotta remember that a shut down from 5PM to 8PM likely is going to end up with an extra hour or so prior to the shutdown time to get the equipment properly shutdown and then another hour or so after the shut down to get the system recharged and ready to be fired back up by the snowmakers walking the hill for the majority of K's guns.

That 3 hour mandated window likely turns onto 6 or so hours in reality due to the time it takes to shut down and then retire.

Kind of ties into some of the thread where K's relatively antiquated system is in need of a significant upgrade when it comes to automation

Yeah they are. At 9pm they started walking down Reason turning guns on (saw it on the NR Webcam). Same for Superstar. Skeleton crews of 2, it takes a while.
