A little odd to say the least. Must be summer boredom leading to a quest for some online drama.

Thanks for the support. As I said on the Killington site:
Unfortunately, there is NOTHING that can be done to change the way that things are with out the SJ/NELSAP staff agreeing to it. I truly believe that hell will freeze over before that will happen.
Contrary to the belief of some, I had nothing to do with the petition and I had nothing to do with starting that thread.

I know that people are only trying to help when they do things like that, but actually, it has the opposite effect. I get blamed(accused of making a fake name) and it puts any progress that may have been made right back to square 1.

Oh well, it doesn't matter anymore. I do not need to have SJ and NELSAP to be happy anymore. I get plenty of satisfaction from my own site, other sites and the people I have met because of them. While it would be nice to be able to participate directly with the sites, I have accepted the fact that I will probably never be allowed to.

DISCLAIMER: This is not referring to teachski or AlpineZone. It is general and it happens on forums.

It is unfortunate that a person gets banned from a site. If a person who was an active poster, who posts within the TOC of the site, gets banned it leaves questions to many board members on to the disappearance of an individual.

When people get banned due to personal conflicts with site owners, moderators, etc., the community in the end suffers.

One of my favorite sites had a split due to to conflicts between the two owners. Again, the average poster like myself, noticed one of the moderators stop posting for a while and before I knew it the site shut down, reopened with an explanation and another site was created by the other former owner. There was flaming between the community and a split occured. Some members left for the other site and the others stayed. It has never been the same since then.

like the fact that this thread was started to begin with? seriously folks, this is none of our business. especially considering that it doesn't even involve AZ or any registered users with exception of laurie p. if folks have an issue with a particular forum, they should be contacting that forums admin back channel to find out more information. better yet, why should any one care at all.

drama sucks.

edit: props to laurie p for having nothing to do with that petition. that is nothing but lame online drama.

Thanks riverc0il, I had nothing to do with this thread either.

I don't like any of this back channelling and it's not helping the situation. While it is nice to know that people care about me and miss me over there, I really don't want anything to do with what is going on. I have no animousity toward anyone at SJ/NELSAP. I know that when, and if they decide to let me return, they will let me know. I don't expect it and I am not waiting for it.

Again, thanks riverc0il for recognizing that I do not condone any of this.

I dunno, browsing here and there it appears there is a lot of crossover members so maybe an explanation of why shes is banned would be appropriate? Just a thought from a newbie.

I'm not really down with the SJ board...
I know we have a lot of xovers from there and I still post there from time to time...
But the major posters are not really people I'm comfortable with... They come off a upitty to me...

Judging from her previous replies, I doubt she wants it all rehashed here.
I don't, so let's just lock this thread and send it on it's merry way to dead post land.

It's really no one else's business like riverc0il said.

BTW- I have nothing to hide, I just don't want to keep rehashing it all.

A reasonable request...locked.
