Lift Serviced in 30 Days?

We might be able to start thinking about the start of lift-serviced in terms of days and not months or weeks now. I wouldn't say that the the first weekend of November is out of the realm of possibility for the big early season players - Sunday River, Killington, Mount Snow, etc...

Sunday River has openly stated that they are shooting to have skiing on Halloween again if mother nature cooperates. 24 days! I wouldn't even rule out an earlier opening if we get a serious cold snap. They seem to have the will, now we just need the cold....

Hopefully 39 days for me. I just got my November schedule and I'm off on the 16th. Belleayre is planning to open on the 14th so if they do and they are open weekdays after that I'll be going on the 16th.

Mt. Snow blew snow last year in mid/late October. They had a hikeable trail set up by Halloween. We just need the cold weather to stick around so the fan guns can do their thing.

Stupid forest service leases. Im looking at Nov 27th no matter what here in Jackson. Although by Dec 6th or so I should be riding off the gondi on a 50+ inch base if the cards fall the right way.

Words I heard over the weekend were snow making to start tonight at SundayRriver.(relaible source) I wonder if that will change with 6 inches of snow due tonight.

Rumours going around, I heard 2nd hand is a thursday opening. Just hard to grasp that, but if the weather forecast is correct it is possible. Just not sure they would want to do it.

If your talking about Jackson Hole they have always opened in Dec and it's a business decision not the BTNF lease. If they felt there was enough business they can change the lease to open earlier. If there was big early snow before Targhee opened we always skied up at Teton Pass.

I have only heard 2nd hand rumors. I will wait and see. I knew people were set up to work Monday night and they started last night. All very good signs.
