I'm forever scoping out mini tree lines on my sprawling 1 acre estate. There are a few candidates that might be worth the time it would take to clean up the trail. There is a shared drive-way that runs past our backyard. I was watching a bunch of kids ride there quads up this little trail that leads to a stretch of power lines. As the summer progressed I kept thinking about hitting this little area if we get a good enough dump in my parts.

So, a huge storm just hit and there is no way you can make it to your local hill for some turns. Would you take the time to strap on the gear to make a few turns?

You can see the dirt bike trail in this pic.

Area to the left of the dirt path. Looks like a few spots to drop in. ;-)

This is the area to the right of that dirt path.

How long is the run? It doesn't look that steep, so it might be over before you get up to speed.

It is short. I would be amazed if I could squeeze 4 turns in. There are a few steeper and longer shots on my property.

Ha ha. We could have an old school steez comp in Southbury. :daffy::spread::daffy:

I see this little run and the others on my property as a chance to work on tight turns in close quarters. Nothing stellar, just some backyard fun on a snow day.

Maybe you can seed some moguls.

I've looked into buying a compressor, hoses, nozzles etc. My wife and electric bill wouldn't be pleased.... Not to mention we would need a second well to supply the water.

Check with PhilDozer maybe he can lend you his.

You just need to go in on every early snowstorm and pack down the snow so you have nice base that will last.

I have some lines at my place too. The guy who owned it before me rented an excavator and cleared trails so he and his wife could snowshoe right on the property. It’s really pretty cool.

This would be the longest and trail, my driveway. The woods on the left and right where also thinned out for snowshoing and would make a nice glade

Nice HPD. Is that the place up near WF or the year round home? Nice trees.
