The River has Cascades, and Right Stuff ready to go from what it looked like to me. Risky business has to be close, South ridge should have two trails soon as well. 300 guns going currently. Jungle road will tie Barker into Locke and xtc is getting snow too. Pretty impressive.
With Upper Picked Rock open and fewer people, I'd give Loon the edge for better terrain offerings. Whether the thin coverage is an issue is up to folks to decide for themselves. Too bad Loon didn't try to go even earlier... though they don't have the super high elevation small terrain pod, that double starts pretty low and covers a lot of mileage in the round about.
They also lift ticket prices for tomorrow. Does that mean more terrain?
Saving, More base building for the weekend. I think we will get quite a bit more soon.
Anybody up for a carpool this weekend?=)
Terrible practice! Also, did I see them refer to conditions as "man made powder" today, or did I imagine that?
Yes. I'm planning on hitting up Loon or Cannon on Friday, and then open to a trip to wherever on Saturday or Sunday.

Go to North Peak and make laps on Flume or East Basin and hit Angel Street or Triple Trouble or Ripsaw on South Peak. Stay off the blue runs on the front side. Loon won't have runs to scare you but, if you want to hit trails to improve your game, you can find them.I have never been to Loon Mountain before although it is one of the most accessible ski resorts in New England.
I consider myself as an intermediate skier and I've heard that Loon Mountain doesn't have any runs that will take my skills to the new level which is elaborated in this ski resort review: http://www.mountainyahoos.com/SkiResorts/LoonMountain.html
