Last season, due to some work flexibility, I began spending certain Wednesdays at Loon, doing gate practice for about 10-20 runs. I like it because Loon keeps their courses open 10am-3pm, I get midweek lift pricing, it's not too far from metro Boston and they offer a pretty good rate for multiple timed Nastar runs. When I get tired, I'll spend the rest of the day cruising the mt. This is my day without the family in tow...

If anyone is interested in joining, drop me a PM. I tend to decide pretty short-notice (Sunday-Monday for a Wed. Ski). I'm a middling, slowly improving (with some recent coaching) hi-20s handicap 50-YO. While I do get addicted to doing gates, I also just enjoy being outside.

I thought they only did Nastar on weekends there. The trail they use Race city has not opened yet. All this race talk..... We could have used you for the Az Race team.

Nope. They have weekdays nastar. I don't know the details about the az team (sorry, not a lot of time to peruse the lists.) My schedule doesn't permit me to do regular beer leagues nor does it allow night skiing, which is fine with me, so it's catch-as-catch-can. Then again, at my age, my handicap is a big team advantage :)

If I can get up mid week I'll drop you a line. I did not know NASTAR went mid week. Thankx for the info. They need to get Race city open.

From NASTAR.com:
Loon's schedule is:
Wednesday-Sunday 10:00 AM-3:00 PM
And I can attest to this schedule first-hand.
Of course, most resort NASTAR programs kickoff this week.
