if theres one thing that i hate about lifts is that some of then the seat is lower to the ground then others while loading and unloading...

-sometimes you have your legs too close to the chair and the lift will actually come down right on your boot, pushing down on the back shaft.... i have even had the lift pinch my calf between the bottom of the chair, and the top of my boot.. OUCH

- i was at killington the past few days. and i forget which lift it was.. but you would sit down and the ground would be reg distance away.. then get a little further away, and right before it took off, the chair lowered again.. and almost every time we road this lift i got pinched.. i even saw a problem with snowboarders.. my buddy was on the lift with me, and when the lift lowered back down it landed on the open high-back of his rear binding, and cracked one of the pieces..

and to one up that.. our last day there. we were waiting online, and were 2 people away from going... and all of a sudden the lift stopped.. and we say them talking to a guy who was on the chair tha tjust lefg, ony about 6 ft off the ground.. then we see the guy jump off the lift.. and after he talked to the lifties for a sec, we over heard and saw that the lift had crushed the high-back of his rear bindong to the point where i snapped in half.. now granted they were not a binding of high quality.. but still, an accident like that ended this guys ski day.. and conditions were great... now i dont know if killington did anything to help compinsate.. but still

I HATE LOW LIFT CHAIRS

The pinching has happened to me on the Cannonball quad (fixed grip) at Cannon.....probably was that the snow was just a little high under the chair that day. It has not happened a lot, only a few times. Other than that, I guess im pretty lucky.

Thats one of the reasons why they say to put the back of snowboard bindings down instead of leaving them up.
