We bring lunch. We'll usually buy our AM snack since we stop at the summit lodge for that.

. Means we're banished to the Peabody Lodge basement, but all the other cheapskate families are there too, so that's fine.

Hey,a lot of my friends are down there with you!
When I'm not barbecuing at the rock on Taft,I guess I'm lucky as I head to my house at Mittersill and eat there70% of the time.I like using the home hopper while I'm there also.

I would think another stop would be needed for the McMuffins and chili

Since I was a little guy we never stopped for lunch. Breakfast and snacks in the pockets, no stopping and going inside......unless there is a need for an emergency #2 or it's wicked cold out. And even then I'll avoid "lunch time" at all costs. One of the most annoying places in the world for me is a lodge at lunch time, too crowded, loud and expensive. If I were to bring lunch I'd eat in the car.
