K-mart has moguls formed, is it still open? According to Wildcat's web, they just groomed out their section.

BTW, love them

Last I skied em was on Friday, so, who knows. Any number of things may have happened to them since.

With all the snowmaking K's doing though, I'm sure there are bumps to be found somewhere on that mountain.

Love them, especially in the spring. Though the spring bumps tend to eat my poles.

Bumps rock

Nothing like 'em, especially in the trees at Jay or anywhere that the run has a lot of character (unlike OL or WH). Love to take as much air as possible.......pretty good bumpin' on FIS and Exterm @ the bush last Sat. This weekend looks to be shaping up well too for the bumpin'

Hey Greg with all these postive responses, maybe a sticky post with bump/mogul alert would be a nice thing on this forum. Different from a trip report because when I go to a place and see some decent bumps, I do laps all day and won't bother scouting out the rest of the terrain. Figure the alerts would give out; the date, which trails, condtions and so on.

Whay say you?

Interesting idea! I love it. So this would be a thread dedicated to posting when and where bump runs are available? I started a thread, but I don't think we'll sticky it, at least not right away. A ton of stickies gets overwhelming. Anyway here it is:

http://forums.alpinezone.com/12673-mogul-alert-thread.html

It will be easy to find by searching for "mogul alert" as a thread title. Hopefully, it will get enough use this season to keep it bumped (pun, intended ;) ) to the top. Enjoy!

I like them when I can ski them, as in spaced apart and soft. Tight icy ones kill me and prolly always will.

Used to hate them but started playing around in them this season and found myself having fun. I really suck at them though. Maybe with enough practice I will get better.

Guess you gotta be able to ski them to love them....I'm kinda in the middle. Not really good at them, but working on some little ones. I think if my knees could take all the bashing and I could ski them well, then I would love them.

Soft spring bumps are fun but other than that, all they do is slow me down too much.Tough making high speed 50+mph GS turns with bumps in the way!!!To each his own. That's what makes this sport so Kool!!

Wow. I couldn't be more 180 than you on this. Speed is overrated. Take that! :p ;-)

I remember back in the 80's where you couldn't get away from those things. They seemed to be on every Black Diamond run, all the way across the run. It seems they have gone somewhat out of fashion and you sort of have to look for them. Or maybe I don't notice them. I consider myself to be a good skier but I never could quite master the moguls. I always thought that I needed to ski with someone who was good on them but I never really knew anyone:sad: .

I Hate em, they must be punnished

I Hate bumps and feel compelled to punish them every time I see them. I stab them with the tips of my poles, cut them with my edges. I hop up in the air off one only to stomp back down with both skis on the next. bumps must be punished.

I wish I could ski better and longer so I could punish them more. I wish every trail had bumps so there were more to punish. I wish my knees weren't getting old, I fear I may only have another 10 or 15 years of punishing bumps left. I wish I had spent more time working out last summer so punishing bumps didn't hurt so much at the end of the day, this is why bumps must be punished they make me hurt so I must hurt them back. BAD bumps bad bad, must hurt, must crush. stab stab
