Date(s) Skied: Saturday April 26, 2008
Ski Area: Mount Snow, VT
Conditions: Spring Conditions.
Trip Report:
Although it wasn’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination the skiing today was pretty darn good being that it is April 26 and I was skiing in Southern Vermont. Aside from the cloudy start, the sun did come out in the afternoon and some nice turns where made all day long, especially on the North Face. Trail of the day for me was Chute, with Ripcord a close second regardless, big kudos to Mount Snow for spinning the lifts this weekend and opening as much terrain as possible, even if it required a little walking.
Skied from 9:30 until 3:30 pm with a lunch break for a cheeseburger and a cold beer on the deck at Cuzzins, logged around 20,000 feet of descent. Although more than likely this was my final day of day of skiing for the 2007-2008 season, it was a great way to end the year and hopefully the memories from 2007-2008 will last me until the that first turn of the 2008-2009 season.
On a side note: As I was headed home this evening it occurred to me that I started and ended my 2007-2008 ski season at Mount Snow this year.
