Sorry it was a bummer for you but as others have said we've ALL had some less than fantastic days , Spring snow can be difficult especially in transition zones that coupled with the boot issue and recovery from teh knee are a tuff set of things to deal with
BUT-- you are to be COMMENDED for trying and Persevering thru it . Coming back from injury is really a diificult mental struggle for most of us BUT you have several factors working in your behalf
1. you have the DESIRE
2. you have RECOGNIZED that its a Mental thing
3. you have the courage to keep at it
4. you've got great support in your husband and circle of ski friends
SO U GO GIRL -- keep on keepin on
PS i think its a wise move to take the Old boots to A?B -- Trek is right " gotta keep the feet HAPPY
