I try to be a person that gives props where props are due at least as often as I complain about shortcomings.
Thus, I am happy to report that when yesterday's wind holds prevented one of my weekend guests from taking advantage of the last day of her 3 day pass, Mount Snow (even though it was well after the normal cutoff hour, which I believe is 10:30 a.m.) gave her a voucher, which was above and beyond for them to do, imo. And then they went even further, giving her a voucher for the day of rental's too.
It is this kind of customer service that keeps people coming back. Not only did she walk away happy, but they will get her to come up another weekend, buy a lift ticket for the other day of that weekend, spend money in their cafeteria and in the valley generally, and so on. A smart move and one that I think should be applauded. Its the small things that really make the difference.
I've been a fan of the mountain's proximity to my home and the snow/skiing product Mt. Snow puts out from day 1, but I am increasingly pleased with a management team that seams to "get it."
