I overheard several employees talking yesterday that Mount Snow may open for the weekend of April 14-15 and the website confirms that they're thinking about it. They will definately be closed the week of April 9-13 but since the weather is going to stay cold this week and a new storm is on the away the new management is asking employees to come back for one last weekend. This is very positive news coming from the new management! They should make their decision soon according to the website.

We'll probably make the decision Thursday. Cold temperatures are holding through the beginning of the week, but weekend weather may be prohibitive.

Sounds like positive information based on new ownership. Crotched opening for today after closing was overwhelmingly positive on the part of Peak resorts. Hopefully, Crotched had the business today to prove it's worth while.

Crotched was great today with excellent coverage. If they were opening again tomorrow i would be there. There was a decent crowd with 3-5 minute wait for the quad all day. It was tough to tell how much of the crowd was pass holders/day tickets because they made the pass holders pick up a complimentary day pass.

I hiked upto the summit and skied the new trails, the one past the old t-bar will be a decent but short expert trail. There are a couple of boulders in the trail and some undergrowth that add character. I spoke with a liftie and he said they are hoping to open five new trails off the summit next year served by a new surface lift.

There has been a ton of talk on kzone about the value of staying open late season. Clearly the magnitude of late season is different but crotched not only got $20 from us today for tickets but peaks sold $1000 for two attitash/crotched passes next year.

Shweeet. Crotched pretty much always required season pass holders to get normal tickets, unless they had a VIP pass. Wish they'd post the other prices.

Sunapee's site is now saying they will stay open until the 15th! I was there on Friday and they will hold up just fine...
