Welcome to the land of fat sticks and single males on a powder day.
Started off with windhold on all, then opened the double. Pent up demand made the double rather popular. Great day skiing with madskier6, joined by my GS cruiser friend being baptised into the world of pow, bumps and trees. Madskier6 is a helluva a nice guy, damn fine skier. The three of us went everywhere we could off the double; single never turned. Windy, but tons of pow everywhere. I'm way behind at the office, so I leave you with a few pics, madskier6 has more. The narrative will have to come another time.

Yesterday was a great day. Stark Mtn touring center was open for business. Got 3 runs from the nest. Fall Line to Ferret Woods...a 20th...then skiied Catamount Bowl, which was retardedly deep snow blown up into waves of snow coming out of the trees, to LA woods. Great day. Hated to leave, but duty calls. MRG is such a fun place to skin around. The trees there really do have their own flavor. The skiing was a bit challenging for me with drifts of deep snow and areas of scoured off chalk. Every turn was different. East coast pow day for sure, skiing in a wind storm with snow falling all day. The base in the woods is now getting real deep with almost 90 at the stake on mansfield.....March could really be the $#!T.

I knew it, I knew it, I knew it! But there was no way any of us could stay another day. So you got luck. I won't use the derogatory phrase that others of my successor generation are quick to burst forth wish. Must have been orgasmic. Good for you!

It was but it does not look like you guys were deprived at all. I took a couple runs off the double and was getting the same powder shots. The run of the day for me was far skers right off the double. I went down this pitch that had drifts blown in like waves in an ocean. Everyone was cutting around them. I got some speed up and launched about 6 of them in a row. It was just so much fun. I caught another narrow untracked shoot forst shot. It was bottomless first turn. Good thing about locking down the heals i can get into a lot tighter shots than most tele guys. I felt like a minority over there in alpine set up. I was skiing witha bunch of teletypes.
