We headed up last Tuesday and skied Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. From south of Boston, the actual driving time was a little over 7 hours, cruising at 73 mph. No traffic and 30 seconds at the border. The skiing was terrific, some of the best spring skiing we have ever done. Cover was deep all over, Jay Peak-like. Glades had deep snow pack; no rocks or snakes or stumps at all. We skied the south side in the morning, then headed to the north side in the afternoon when the south got heavy. Many long top-to-bottom runs. For boarders they have the most extensive terrain park I've seen. It runs the length of a quad lift that services the top 3rd of the mountain, so it's an ideal setup with no walking required. There were some great boarders there and we enjoyed riding the quad and checking out the action below. Overall, it was shocking to see huge snow banks everywhere after the washout that the season has been in NE. They are planning to stay open into May, so if you're desperate like we were, you still have time to make it happen this year.

I was there three weeks ago, and I must say I was impressed. The bumps were a little hard after some rain, but the groomers were hard to beat anywhere, there were tons of jumps for parkrats. I truly think that they have the best all around terrain anywhere in the east, they had steep bumps, glades and cruisers, tons of intermediate stuff, and even top to bottom greens (although theyre bad for congestion). Its probably the best place to learn once youre at the intermediate level, because there is room to excel in every type of skiing and riding and to deal with its infamous -30 degree January's.... Everybody should try this place if they havnt already.
