Name this mountain

Today I was at a client's home in Pittsfield NH. Her home is on a hill with a large clearing to the west and somewhat to the north. Fairly prominently in the view is Mt Kearsarge (close to Ragged). To the north (right in the view) were some beautiful snow covered mountains. I asked if she knew which they are and she just said "that's Vermont".

If I had a compass with me, could have taken a bearing but had none so there. It took a pic and have zoomed in on it. My guess is that it's a little north of Rutland. Any guesses based on the pics below? This is not a riddle, I really don't know.

I think the white peaks are far beyond Cardigan.

I swear that is Cardigan. I don't think you would have that close of a view of Moosilauke from Pittsfield, could be wrong though.

See, I am thinking the same thing...especially if that ridgeline in the foreground is Kearsarge. It is quite a distance from Ragged to Cardigan...about 30 miles or so I would say...maybe more like 15-30, but there is no other mountain in that area/direction that has that much above tree line area than Cardigan and the Firescrew.

And if it was Moosilauke, we'd see some other mountains/hills in front of it. From that angle, you'd see more f the Moosilauke range.

I would say that ckofer nailed that one. It is a good 37 miles from Pittsfield to Cardigan.

That would be the view SE from Moosilauke....so let me get my thinking cap on and get back to you...

It is the Ossipee Range (I would have taken a name of any of the peaks in the range as well).
