Others will give you specific recommendations, and you can then check them out via this link: http://www.madrivervalley.com/vermont/directory/by_type.asp?catid=64

I would start with American Flatbread, Hyde Away, Big Picture (local movie theater that includes full restaurant). I took a look at the Big Picture's kids' menu the other day and any 3 year old would be happy. Hyde Away has a kids' play area in addition to kid menu.

Hyde Away rules it if you like bar/grill type food. You get the feeling you're hanging out at a buddy's house...

I posted a simlar request here on AZ last winter and got bombarded with great suggestions!

You can do an easy search for it under my threads started.....

American flatbread is a mandatory trip......yummy and tasty and a quality hang with your group....in fact a real event!

We ate at Egans twice and liked it too!

...but flatbread absolutely rules:flag:

....and I think AZ rules for MRV reccos.

I have not managed to get to the MRV American Flatbread, but the one local to us is great (even with a 1.5 and 3.5 year old in tow), so I imagine the original is even better. We love their flatbreads!
