The more I think about that area, I highly suspect Saddleback will be cutting it over the course of a few years and its first year will probably debut sort of like the way the upper part of Deliverance at Jay is cut (and even a lot of the lower portion) with definite cut lines and not much room for improvision. I can not possibly imagine that even a quarter of that area would be skiable with only mild brush clearing. They are going to need to mow down a lot of trees and open up lines and I doubt they will have that entire 40 acre area skiable this season (or ever in its entirety). Which is not a slam. It is an ambitious project. But it is not going to be a full 40 acres of skiable terrain but rather 40 acres with a huge amount of skiable lines... which is still really cool.
Either that or it will just ski like Dark Wizard and almost no one will be able to ski it very well, LOL.
