Nice Lift Line

I agree. I was there this past Monday and there was a line for the Bluebird while the quad and Canyons were ski on. It was cold but no wind so the bubble didn't really matter. I can't figure out why people would wait in line when there is a parallel lift just as fast to the top. When I finally did ride the Bluebird just to see what the big deal was, it kept slowing down and they shut it down for repairs on Tuesday. The only thing I can think of is, "People are sheep" and they fall for every marketing schtick out there. They somehow think that lift is better for some reason. They shut the quad down later in the day and I had to ride it again to get back to the Sundance Lodge. I'll pick the quad every time in the future while the sheep wait for the Bluebird. Oh, and some jackass had already scratched their initials into the bubble. By next year I'm thinking you won't be able to see out of the thing regardless of their warnings.

Agreed. When it's the only lift to the top running fine. When the Quad is running, that's my ride of choice. Old faithfull lol. the new chairs are sweet too...

And nobody mentioned crowded trails, so maybe there are enough to absorb all that lift capacity?

Even that line isn't more than 5 minutes! There's only 3, maybe 4 groups in each of the 3 main queue lines for both the north and south loading sides, then into "final approach" The amount of acreage needed to set up the queue lines makes the lines look way worse than they are, you kind of need to see how it works to realize it - I was in the singles line for about a dozen rides on the Bluebird on Saturday, and the way that it seemed to me was that the singles line from the North (Canyon Quad) side was the longest lone for the Bluebird yesterday, and even then my longest wait was about 5 minutes! The lift just can really eat up lines!

Now that more than 3 basic trails off the top are finally open, downhill density isn't noticeably different than it used to be

You gotta wonder what the future has in store for the Ego lift, I don't think it has run yet this year? Perhaps they will keep it as the only fixed grip option out of the main base but they really don't need it anymore even with the races...

As of this morning, Ex is wide open from top to bottom!

Never been to Tremblant or Wachusett, I meant out of any mountain I ski, Snow has the longest lines.

We skied Mt Snow all day Friday and Saturday. Even if the line looked long the wait on the Bluebird was much shorter than an average weekend last year when only the Grand Summit quad and slow summit local were running. Like Glenn on Saturday we basically skied onto the quad lift.
Friday when it was windy and the quad wasn't running the this was the busiest weekday I've ever skied at Mount Snow. Most visiters we talked to were from CT or belonged to CT ski clubs since it was a CT Ski council day on Friday , and Sat too.
