Hey all,

So, I know this is probably a bad time to post it but, figured it can't hurt.

I haven't been able to take advantage of the night skiing at SR all season due to my teaching load and uber busy schedule. This week my evenings have ALL cleared up. My question is, how has the night skiing been as of late? Is it worth the time to drive up there for a few (maybe 3 or 4 hours) under the lights? I figured this would be a good time to give it a shot if the skiing is pretty good.

Thoughts?

As always, I appreciate the advice.

EDIT: I just read that the night skiing thing is Friday and Saturday nights. Bah.

I have made it a few times. This friday and Sat night are the last nights. I have heard rumors they may open on the night of April 3rd possibly to Start off Bust and burn weekend. We will see.

Its fun for about 1.5 to 2 hours. for me. Lights need to be adjusted a bit. I would guess next year they would make a few small adjustments. Jerry G has gone many times more than me. I give it a thumps up.

I'd imagine that after a few hours that the great debate of "cold beer inside" vs. "cold Bob R. outside" starts to enter into the equation ;) Especially if it was a Friday night after a long week at work!

A few of the Sr regulars try for a few runs Friday nigth as we roll in. Those who make it in time to ski do so, Those who don't grab a beer. We end up meeting at the foggy goggle around 9 one way or another. Temps do matter.

The Lights are nice and I think a great addition, definitely need some adjustments, or a few more (there are a few real dark spots). Conditions were good this past weekend.

Night skiing was a pretty good idea, it was great this past weekend being able to wait till 11 for things to soften up and then skiing till 6.

2 more days of night skiing this weekend it looks like, unless they decide to give it a go for parrothead.
