No change in forecast--blizzard coming some areas

No change in our forecast from Wednesday going for a surprise major snowstorm. Warm temps and rain have been in the forecast for more than a week, and has obviously hurt conditions...but wait to you see what awaits the N. Greens/Whites and Adirondacks...there will be a lot more snow in the mountains than anyone is forecasting..

Updates on my web site this weekend under New England and Home Page scroll...

So...was this a bust? Is anyone in the North Country seeing any significant snowfall?

Looks like a bust to me. I check a few ski reports today and nobody is reporting anything worth jumping about.
Surprising. I followed Roemer's weather notes for Mad River this season and he was pretty accurate.

The snow wouldn't be reported in this morning's snow reports. The snow is falling today and tonight, and possibly tomorrow too. Stowe totals are forecasted as about 12 inches.

I do not know where this "blizzard" is but it is certainly not here! I waited most of the morning to see the snow accumulate to maybe 5" on my driveway. So I get my x-c skis on only to find it 2 - 3" in the woods. Couldn't even re-ski over my tracks, not deep enough. And no fun.

Remember, only Northern VT, Northern NH, and parts of ME are forecasted to get the dump. Although the high winds aren't going to help with the snow totals.

Bright sun for hours this morning, clouds to the East. The depth is less than yesterday afternoon. With drifts, the snow is 4" in the open, 2" in the woods. All forecasts say mostly sunny today with a chance of snow showers 10% and temperatures in the high 30's.

Sugarbush is saying we've picked up 4" over the last few days and an inch last evening. Perhaps up on the mountain this is true, but down in the valley areas there is no snow to be found although it didn't drop a good dusting.

Today is sunny but still cold. I'm looking foward to warmer days.

Yeah, I talked to my friend who lives in Stowe. As of last night there was about an inch of new snow. Probably more on the mountain, but he advised me not to come up to ski.
