Well, the yard work is finally finished  and I took a gaze at my beloved quiver, then realized I had not put them up for the summer.

So, at 91 degrees, out comes the hot iron to clean em up and wax em down. Waxing dribbles don't bind so well at 91F, they seems to flip off when the iron ran over them. The Atuas made out well this year. My go-anywhere bangers could have used some waxing earlier, but were mostly muddy from those late season adventures. The GS groomers took the damage this year, with a couple of core shots that I simply didn't remember getting. No damage at Magic this year  let's make this a trend!!

Gently put them away, said adieu, went inside the a/c for some lunch and a re-read of Ski magazine. My first tickets of the year are on order, time will come soon enough.

Still sitting next to the door, right where they've been since my last ski trip. The last thing my bases saw was a glimpse of the mountain they just skied as I pressed them together to carry to the car. I'm sure the skis I used in the spring still have very dirty bases, it'll wear off in the fall though.

Oddly enough, I haven't gotten around to it. I've been procrastinating because I have to do some base repair work on one pair. Maybe, one of these weekends when I'm not at the beach. Not worried because skis are in the bedroom and the climate control there is pretty good.

My skis were still in the car two weeks ago. I waxed them in January I think.

Ski's stored in the basement. One minor scratch from the season (probably from Utah believe it or not) which will be easily repaired with the pre season tune up.

Was up at Camelback Sunday for a ski team fund raiser at the Camelbeach water park. Crowded but not alot of interest in a season pass, a pair of skis, and other raffle items. One of the mountain staff told me that this was the "general population and only about 4% of the general population skis". Interest in the fund raising effort reflected that. My winter bartender told us that the "summer crowd and winter crowd were 2 different beasts". The trails were browner then usual due to the heat and shortage of rain. Good crowds at the water (and adventure) parks is good news for the mountain and means more money for :fangun:
