Sorry for the radio silence Alpine People. I have had the absolute BEST ski season of my life. I have seen Jay Peak twice this year(trying for a 3rd). Saw Sugarbush, Smuggs and Killington for the first time. Had an amazing blue bird carver day at Gore, an equally beautiful, but way more visceral day at Whiteface. A smattering of killer Stratton days, and a few nights shredding Jiminy Peak. As well as a few days over at Mountain Creek, just to keep the legs loose. It truly has been epic. All made possible by my amazing girlfriend, who shares my passion, and willingness to drive from my house to where the snow is.
Now you understand where I am coming from, I ask you this: IS IT ALL OVER AFTER THE RAIN AND WARM TEMPS COMING THIS WEEKEND!?!?!?!?!?!?! (3/13-3/14)

Positive spin time.......Looks like the weather pattern is getting active again. Still plenty of cold air not too far to the North. We'll get more goos snow storms in the next few weeks. Really good bases set up for a long spring season!

Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
Bluto: And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough... the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!

No it is not. And coming into a ski room asking that question is not exactly the wisest thing to do....kind of like going into a Yankee's Chat Room and bragging about the Red Sox. Not a good idea.

Northern resorts always do a good job, skiing will last for a while, but when skiing ends for this season....many of us just segue into paddling, hiking, and biking.

Dude just axed a question. What's wrong with that?

LOL, thanxs bro. I think his analogy was pretty weak too. I wasn't bragging either. I wanted to impart just how epic my season really was. I'm lucky it all fell into place like it did. But all those stars alining would not have mattered if I didn't have the passion to follow thru, and ride my ass off. Thas is what the little blurb was all about.

Ya beat me to it. Seems I have to polish off this chestnut at this time every year.

To the OP: Jay is running ridiculous deals before they tear down the Hotel Jay. You and your girlfriend should start planning for your third Jay trip this year. The long range forecast into April for Maine looks promising so I'm not too worried. Last year, we skied the Rivah into the last weekend of April and Sugarloaf first weekend of May. Trailboss and I then skied around Mt. Washington in June. I expect the same this year. So, to quote Sen. Blutarsky: Nothing is over until we decide it is!

And, BTW, if you're interested in extending your season by skiing Tux, let me know. That's a good introduction into Northeast Soul Skiing.
