How many outdoor related magazines do you currently subscribe to?

I currently receive 3. Backpacker, (AMC) Outdoors and Audobon. The Backpacker and Outdoors I've been getting for years and really enjoy the articles, gear reviews, tips and other tidbits about the mountains. The Audobon magazine/society is something I joined recently because I live near a sanctuary and wanted to use the trails without paying a fee. The magazine is actually quite interesting magazine and well written.

A few years ago I had a subscription to Outside, but let it run out after one year. I'm more interested in reading articles about hikes and adventures I could possibly go on rather than about treking through Borneo or searching for Yeti's in Nepal.

By the way, the current issue of Backpacker has a nice article about the White Mountains.

We are members of AMC, NH Audubon Society, the Society for the Protection of NH Forests, the American Morgan Horse Association and the United States Dressage Association and receive their membership publications accordingly.

I purchase Backpacker, Bicycling, Motorcyclist & Sail publications for my reading pleasure.

Being a Threedom Pass Holder, I receive on their account Ski & Skiing. I’ve gotten away from reading Powder…I don’t enjoy it like I used too…my son claims it’s old age…

I felt the same way as TenPeaks about Outside, one year was more than I was interested in.

Burke Mountain in Skiing Magazine

The October 2004 issue of Skiing magazine features Burke Mountain. It is well written and may cause some crowding this season....

Also included in the EAST Section are quickies on Killington VT or NH? Ride information regarding Gondola's, about a VT dude who forecasts powder dumps and a little something about Jiminy Peak.

This is also Skiing’s Gear Guide Issue, so it is full of topics and advertisements.

Hey Charlie,

I was glad when my Powder subscription ran out this year. I used to enjoy reading Powder, but now it's all about hucking big air....not my cup of tea.

I agree about the hucks...the other thing that bored me as well is the Park Stuff...

I get Runner's World, Triathlete, AMC Outdoors, Motorcyclist, Cycle World, Rider, Motorcycle Road Racing. I purchase Outside at the news stand if there is something in it to intrigue me.

AMC Outdoors, Backpacker, Couloir and National Geographic Adventure.

I used to get Outside, but I was tired of the stories for people who never actually go outside.

I would definitely recommend Adventure. Really interesting articles, but also good stuff for trip planning, if you can actually find the time and money. I have too many of them saved.
