Not to hijack the thread, but since we are discussing ski tuning I've always wondered, when scraping wax before brushing, how much do you scrape off? Till you don't get anymore?

Yes, take it all off. The only wax you want left in the ski is within the pores of the sintered base. The brushing is to clean the wax out of the structure, that the scraper can't because it''s below the high point of the structure.
