Saw it this afternoon. Scary movies don't bother me but holy moley that was about as scary as they come. Highly recommended.

I think the more subtle stuff (as seen in most of this movie) is more credible and scary (scarey?). The Oujia (sp?) board scene was pretty cool.

Checked it out on IMDB after seeing with the fam.

I won't ruin it for anyone by discussing my fav and least fav parts. Afterwards, I'd be happy to.

I actually liked this movie a lot, surprising since I don't like most horrors. Refreshing to have a movie try and be scary without gore though.

Never even heard of this but on the radio this AM they said it was #3 over the weekend even though it was only in limited release. Had an $11K budget and was filmed over 15 days. Intrigued...

It's apparently a big hit with the younger crowd....sort of like the Blair WItch Project...w/o the media hype preceding it.

Like the Blair Witch movie...it's the possibility that it's true PLUS the subtleness of the events in the movie that give you the goose bumps.

Seeing it on the big-screen is probably worth it.

I remember back in the day...the Amityville Horror flick. I had read the book and, because it was supposed to be true, it was extremely compelling. My wife asked me to get the book out of the house when O was done with it. When I saw the film in the theater...I was spooked. When the priest was blessing the house...and the disembodied voice wispered "get out", that was bad. Then when that same voice SHOUTED that phrase....I was ready to leave the theater.

It didn't help that when I left the theater (at the end of the flick) and I opened my car door....a frickin cat came running out from under the car. CRIPES!!
