Pico is getting pretty good reports....I guess being closed half the week is making the skiing nice even through the rain/freeze. Might be the best choice for people that don't want to drive north of K.

I skied Pico a bunch last year and really found it quite enjoyable and I'm sure that less traffic during the week is helping that even more. Good variety of terrain and manageable crowds. For a more laid back day I'd chose Pico any day over Killington (although the steeps, bumps and trees at K are a ton of fun if you know how to avoid the crowds). Haven't been up to ski either this year yet.

last weekend was fantastic at Pico...no crowds (compared to the zoo at K and other areas), great ungroomed fresh powder, we logged 23K vertical!! the Outpost lift wasnt turning, but it was a short hike up a feeder trail to get some great untracked goodies!! Great mountain, great vibe, low key...live music Saturdays up in the bar....however we always grab some Guiness's and nachos across the Street at the Inn at Long Trail...love that place

Pico is a great resort. It is really underrated. But that's OK in my book. Like Burke, it has a great variety of terrain and is not crowded. The lifts, though older, are well laid out. The two HSQ's are nice and fast...

Well said, better to keep Pico and Burke to ourselves!!

Who wants all the 10-2 skiers/riders crowding all the mountains any way? Not I!

Was that Saturday that the Outpost was down? It was definately up and running on Sunday as I rode it a bunch of times.
