Hopefully the weather at Burke's Pond Skimming is like today. It is pushing 60 degrees here at the moment and it is nice and sunny. Great corn conditions setting up for the weekend. Nights below freezing and wam (40s) during the day.

I normally do a little snow dance before heading up to VT for a ski weekend. I think I better learn how to do a sunny and 60 degree dance for this weekend. See you at the starting gate. SKATE TUCK SKIM!!!!!!!

Sugarbush's 40th annual Pond Skimming is Saturday, March 31st followed by a couple of fun bands outside the Castlerock Pub. Each Owner has done it and one of three made it.

Did anyone else make it to Burke's pond skimming? I was hoping to run into some other AZ'rs.
My costume theme was Rub-a-Dub-Dub (thanks for the pics and video maury).

I saw you there. I was the one wearing the wetsuit/mask/snorkle and the inflatable hippo around my waist. I will try and upload some picks tonight.

Oh yea! I think you were a few skimmers in front of me. Somewhere in the mid/upper 30's. You took a pretty good dive at the end of your 4th run :)

That was me. I knew after barely making it across in round 3 that getting wet was inevitable in round 4. I should not have dove back in the water after they pulled me out. Even with the wet suit that was cold.

Did you make it over in round 4? I went to get dried off as soon as I got wet.

This is an actual still shot of me on the forth run from a video. I think I made it out...

BUT the officials didn't cut me any slack. I think I was robbed
I'll post a YouTube video shortly

I think I was out of the pond (at least my boots were anyways :) what do you think?

Looks like you made it to me. I heard a snow boarder ended up winning in the next round. I find that amazing because they don't have the ability to skate like a skier to pick up speed and there was barely any slope left from the final starting point.

It was fun. I can not wait to do it again next year.
