Bumps are what i settle for on a powder day...
They're still powder bumps the day after a powder day.

I'm with DHS. Softness is about the same, powder to spring. But powder bumps are better in every other way. Better feel when setting an edge, more predictable, just overall feel is better. Seeded, the ability to just stomp through with spring bumps is nice.

Spring - yes, it marks the near-end of the season, but that makes skiing at that time even more special, knowing the finality is near and you savor every moment even more during winter.

At this point, Powder bumps . . . Powder anything for that matter . . .

In the Spring, a solid March filled with powder bumps, then April and May with spring bumps.

The thing about Spring bumps is that, if you wait long enough, they've got them every year. Powder bumps are more of a treat.

Which are better?

Really tough call. I love the feel of powder moguls, but usually with spring bumps, you got warm temps. Throw in some bluebird skies and I gotta give the nod to spring bumps. Plus you're not reliant on a recent storm for spring bumps.

And before the powder snobs chime in with "I'll be in the woods on a powder day", yeah, we already know where you'll be.

marshmellow bumps are my fav. those are powder, a foot at least, with no hard pack at all. you simply puff thru them:snow: 2nd would be good pow bumps:snow: then nice tight spring bumps:grin: with no ice. and of course no wind :smash:
