Well, the good news was that there were no crowds and what was open wasn't bad .
The not so good news is that all that was open was Blueberry patch to Upper Chute to Lower Chute to Village Green. So for those unfamiliar, that's one route summit to base, half blue, half green. If it wasn't my first day out that would have bothered me a lot more than it did.
The temp was between 10 and 20 degrees with the wind blowing pretty hard. The skies were partly cloudy and the visibility was good for the most part. The six pack (only lift operating) seemed to be running at about 3/4 speed as a result of the wind.
Over all the snow was firm and coverage was good. The folks at the mountain said they got 13 in. from the recent storm. A fair number of chicken heads were in evidence on both upper and lower Chute and they were blowing snow on Village Green.
Patroller I rode up on the lift with didn't give me the impression that there would be much more opened over the weekend. Could be they are hoarding for the xmas vacation.
Anyway, I got my pic taken for my pass and ripped GS turns for a couple of hours, so it beat the snot out of a day at the office.
