Sent an email to them asking whe it would be open and they sent this in reply:

Spear Mnt. Triple is being load tested as I type this. If everything goes according to plan we will have that lift open this weekend.

Thank you for your interest in Ragged Mountain!

Lisa

Only problem is there trail report is showing no snowmaking on any trails off the triple...

Looks Ragged is coming along well and I am excited for the new terrain. I used to go there and rmeber Flying Yankee to be pretty fun.

Just letting everyone know.

Nah... I vote for Showboat. Toward the bottom at skiers right, it has a slanted ledge that is uphill from the main trail, it forms a narrow pipe. Pick up enuf speed on showboat and you can get on top of the ledge, the top has some nice bumps or powder.

thank the lord. I'm seting up a group trip there and that really is some of the best terrain on the mountain. Lisa is a good person and has been very good to me as far as setting up this trip goes.

How were the glades on that side of the mountain?

This lift service two two major glade sections; one is in the ravine that parallels to glades service by the six pack. I never been on that since its been closed or too scratchie for my taste. The second section is generally shorter, it is off the green trail that eventually connects to flying yankee. IIRC, this section is steep (but short) uphill, go further dh the pitch has lower angles.
