The reason for Ragged's appearance and problems is that they are on the brink of bankruptcy. Call it what you want, but they are one step from the grave, as sad as it is.
I wouldn't worry about the weather...Pats made plenty of snow during the cold stretch and unless we get a major prolonged warmup (which will not happen) the conditions should be fine all the way to their closing date in late March.Yes I went to Ragged.Pats restricted for last weekend 2 for 1 tickets, I have, Rugged did not ... try anything once. My expectations to conditions at rugged was so low and they easily exceeded.
I understand about bankruptcy. Workers saying place most likely will not get closed but will be purchased by bigger company and personally I really hope this happened because financial problems aside Ragged have A LOT potentials.
Pats will be next 2 times if the weather do not change.
Ski Sunapee Mishka the learning center is a dream, very peaceful and safe.
Get to the Mtn at 7:45 and back into a nice spot at the learning center. Bring a large Basket Picnic lunch and lounge at the great Sunapee State Park! A true getaway.
Go 93 North, take 89 North (20 minutes) Exit 9 rt 103 (22 minute) Pay attention to speed limits and your there!
