The most soul for me is Sugarbush and MRG, but the most fun I have ever had skiing is with my 2 young kids this year and see them smiling and having fun and seeing them get better every week. 2 more weekends till I take them to Bromley, which will be there first "big" mountain trip.

"Soul" would be a place that swallows you up whole, makes you think about it on the fourth of july. When u finally get there, you can't eat breakfast cuz the butterflies are to heavy. and after shredding all day on the last run you still hven't gotten ur fill thas SOUL

You're gonna fit in fine here.

In my mind, northern New England
Mt. Washington -- but not Tux during the Inferno. When you're up there with no crowds, you can hear yourself think. No sounds of lifts. You think of all the skiers who came before you. You touch the history of skiing then point your tips down and schuss.

What place does it for you better than the others, Northeast only pls.

I think I know the type of answer you want.. But I'm attracted to "soul" and it's kinda unquantifiable. But I know I've found "soul" when I feel a strong urge to come back to someplace..

I'm just walking in the door from two amazing days at Jay Peak...
This afternoon- I was standing in the middle of a tight woods - with all the trees covered in snow - sun streaming though the snowy yet blue skies - staring down a sweet chute... And I thought... "Damn - I'm coming back to this place"..

4 of us drove back to Hunter NY, smiling the whole time.. Chatting about the woods... and chutes.. And cool people.. And the great food... and the great deal..
And - the snow... And - when we can all get back..

I vote Jay Peak...

gotcha

I have my favorite areas, Stowe being my most favorite, but in general........the soul is in the skiing itself for me, not the place.

Agreed. Other soul skiing faves: Wildcat, and though I haven't been in years, Black, where I learned 25 years ago.

something about old school new england spots with no fluff..just classic windy trails, rustic base with just the necessities and a laid back vibe.

Smuggs---it's just cool

Bromley has a bit of everything. Not a huge mountain, but decent vertical and min crowds. has nicley pitched crusers, some decent trees, steeper ungrromed stuff off the east side....dont go there looking for a MRG or Castlerock...great mtn as it all comes back to 1 base lodge so if you are skiing with others, you can ski your own way down and meet at the lift....great deck for beers, usually have the grill going outside...Bromley faces South, so on a sunny day its fantastic...never had a bad day at bromley..

What's the skiing like at Bromley? I've been intrigued by the location and the seemingly chill vibe, but I haven't heard much about the mountain itself.
