Jamie get out and ride, the trails have been sweet this winter. Believe me I was/am feeling the same way, but everytime I get out and rip up some single track the feeling tends to go away. Hitting Blue Hills Saturday morning if you're interested?

+1. The trails and woods all have a great base so all we need is 6-12" of fluff. It's gotta happen ...

We had one last Sunday here in central NY, eight inches. It was truly powder, some of the fluffiest snow I've ever seen. It skied really nice even after it was tracked out. The one word that summed it up for me is relaxing. After skiing fast frozen granular with ice underneath all season, it was relaxing to not constantly be on edge, pun intended, about the dangers lurking beneath the snow cone snow. Not enough, and too light, to get into the woods, but everything else was in play...more please.

isn't the silence of skiing fresh snow one of the best sounds in the world? There were times this year i wanted ear plugs to deafen the horrible sounds coming from under my feet and others.

She's old enough...kids are better in trees than grownups. If you had 80-100cm skis you would rip thru them too.

Yeah that's true, but she's only been out a few times and is just getting the hang of trails. I think next year she'll be ready!
