Ty, I have been thinking about a trip. My son is in the Seasonal at Loon. Been hard to go anywhere, but there. I'll be there come late season. Similar to last year. The hospitality I recieved will be part of the reason for my return.

I do the same, but the wet gloves thing is probably the most difficult part of skiing in the rain to put up with. Gloves just get soaked.

Anyone come up with a good solution to this problem?
Would neoprene diving gloves work?

thats actually what we use and they work great. One of mine tore a little at a seam so is now leaking. I wonder if I can sew it somehow?

RISKY SKIING, EH?

"Risky Skiing"
That's what our FORMER Pediatrician used to say. When we asked him about helmets, he went off on this lecture about how skiing is the dumbest thing people would ever consider doing. In his mind the risk is astronomical.
(If that's the case, I don't know why he drives a car which is statistically more dangerous than skiing :dunce: )

I imagine this fellow must wrap himself in foam and cotton before he leave the building. Poor guy must have an awfully boring life.

If you really want to freak him out, tell him you ride a bicycle.

The number of injuries and deaths attributed to biking accidents is easily 10 times the number of those attributed to skiing.

Touche' !
I would much rather avoid immovable objects (rocks, trees, lift poles, buildings) on skis than to face, head on uncontrollable objects on 4 wheels!

Uncontrollable is an interesting choice of words considering that cars and trucks have drivers.

I agree with you...I trust lift towers and snowmaking equipment alot more simply because there are no humans "controlling" movement.

My intended thought is that the moving driver is NOT within my control, subject to the whims, intoxications and distractions that come with driving.

While one could argue that a tree is not in my control, we are at least limited to one trajectory: mine!
