80 MPH, head first!

MRV is where I got the idea. There is a whole bunch of startups. I found more in the newspaper last week:

Surfster Black Ice $120 - www.surfsterboard.com
This cheaper alternative to the Airboard uses the same steering mechanism but doesn't acheive speeds as high, the company says.

Sportstuff Giant Slalom - $40 www.sportsstuff.com
With hand leves for steering and braking, this is a casual day out with the kids kind of sled, the company says.

Airboard Classic $269, www.airboard.com - this sled, on which pros have been clocked above 80mph has had the most success gaining access to ski mountains because of its ability to corner and stop.

Hey, this might be just the think if there's lots of boilerplate and the skiing kcus... 8)

I thought that might be the case. I wanted to post the link for others that might not be in the know.. :)

Thanks for all the additional info.

I haven't been sledding in years, but I'm looking foward to taking my daughter when she gets older. :D
