Anyone see that last game in the third set? Unbelievable between-the-legs backwards winner! And it wasn't a lob, it was a winner!

I love the guy! Best ever, IMO!

That shot was incredible.

Best player I've ever seen. Perhaps the most dominant athlete of any sport ever actually.

I wish he had some rivals though. I felt the same way when Sampras dominated, Lendl, Steffi Graf etc. I get a bit bored with someone winning over and over and over. Tis why I've always liked the second tier stars like Wilander, Becker, Agasi, etc.

Agreed, DHS. But I can't help but root for him. He's so humble, and always speaks fondly of his opponent. He's just a likable athlete.

Nadal is also incredible, and likable. But the difference between Federer and Nadal is that Federer doesn't lose to anyone but Nadal. Nadal loses to several other players. Every player has a nemesis, and Federer's is Nadal. But Nadal can't always hold it together against some of the other top-10 guys.

I typically root for Nadal when the two play or Roddick for that matter. Guess I just like the under dog.

That said, I don't dislike Roger. He is very likeable unlike some dominant players that aren't so humble.

I figure that in the rain-out yesterday Federer saw his good buddy Tiger Woods put up a round that even by Tiger standards was impressive and Federer just wanted to one up his buddy! ;)
