I was wondering if anyone could recommend a ski rack for an 04 Forester with factory roof racks. I got a Rockymount for my bike (which I love), and was hoping there were some decent ski racks out there. It would only have to hold 2 or 3 pairs at most.

thanks.

Does your rack on that Forester have crossbars?

Thule's 724 flat top seems to be the ticket for you. You'll need to get their "fat mouth" adapters for the crossbars probably.

Hit up Ebay for sure, that's where I got mine a few years back. You could get something like this, then you'd need adapters like these Yakima 2V. That's just what I found after searching for 2 minutes, there may be much better deals. It's still kinda pricey, but it's much better than retail for the same things.

Thanks. After reading some other info, I'm not entirely sure it's the best idea to have them up top where the road grime and salt can get at them. I always go alone and the car is plenty big enough to hold the skis in safe warm comfort.
I was just doing some wishful thinking and hoping to find a few friends around here who'd want to do day trips and whatnot.
