Resort or Ski Area: Saddleback
Conditions: PP - LG
Trip Report: Very nice day at Saddleback to start out the season. The basically have Grey Ghost open, a blue cruiser open along with the top 2/3rds of Golden Smelt - a natural trail that has received the benefit of the Grey Ghost snow making. The Wheeler slope is open for the novice skier
Grey Ghost was in mid-winter shape. Excellent coverage all the way to the lift. Golden Smelt skied a lot better that the picture looks. Snow was good depth you just had to avoid the scrub a bit. Was nice to get some bumps in the 'ol legs. Looking forward to many more trips to the 'back.

Starting the First run of the year down Gray Ghost
Top part of Golden Smelt. Middle section wasn't quite so scrubby. But it did ski pretty well despite how the pic looks.
