For sure that must have been the place this weekend. Wanted to but had a voucher for SL today, the lower mountain was nice...and just stuck to it as was still in skills recovery-mode with 72mm skis. Think Brackett Basin was pretty good this weekend but Casablanca must've been terrific. Nice pic salsgang....gotta grab me something with some width...and quick...;-)

An "Alpinezone only" pic from Sunday. Peachy's Peril at Saddleback. We were spoiled on Saturday with soft powdery snow. Sunday the snow was wind-blown so it was a bit hard to ski through initially, but once it was chopped up it was very nice.

Saddleback will ski very well this week if anyone is looking for a mid-week romp. Here is what I left on Sunday on my last run...

Envious! We skied Saddleback last weekend and thought it was skiing great then. Add a fresh foot and WOW. We are heading that way for the day a week from this Friday. Heres hoping it continues to pile up. LOVE Saddleback!

I was there Sunday. It was a huge pain in the ass with the Rangely chair on hold Sunday morning. The runs on the steeps were painful with that wind. Superivisor, Wardens Worry, Tight Line all gave me a headache from the cold blasting you. All the runs near Peachy were nice and soft. Jane Craig, Colonel, etc. The problem I found a lot of stumpage and rocks visible on those runs. You could really crank through there soft bumps though. If you had the nerve to pick through the debri at the top of Governer, that was a good run but getting past the headwall bare spots was tough. It was amazing how much the wind can slow you down. I must say Sunday was the deadest I have ever seen it there on a weekend after a dumping like that.

Saturday night and Sunday winds really blew around the snow. I stayed off the groomers. You can avoid gov headwall via Artula and a hop thru dark wizard. Traffic is down this year no doubt
