Date(s) Skied: March 27, 2010
Resort or Ski Area: Saddleback
Conditions: LG / FG
Trip Report: Quick report on Saddleback. Camera batteries dead so no pictures. :-/
Basically a rip the groomer day at Saddleback. Trials were very edgeable, but fast and firm. They did a good job grooming the usual suspects. All the natural trails on the upper mountain were closed for good reason. Blocks of ice. Still lots of snow and it was sad to see it all locked up.
Parmacheenee bell and Golden Smelt were open on the lower mountain for those seeking some firm bumps. P.Bell actually skied pretty well considering...
But it was a great day. Temps warmed into the 20's. No wind. Bluebird skies. It is always fun at the 'back.
Running out of time though. Closing up shop April 11. We shall see what this weeks niar event does. Looking all wet up north but it will be followed by some pretty warm temps so might be a nice spring Easter weekend.
