After last season's big April dumps, I promised I'd save more vacation days for skiing in the spring. Last year, I got in 3 days in April. This April? 3 days. :???: It seems like I tend to burn vacation days in December, January and early February when the skiing might not be optimal. During, mid-season, I just want to go go go. I need to learn to save more for April. Next year I want to focus my season for after Valentine's Day. I probably won't learn though...

Well I used 1 vacation day in November to add to a weekend in VT..none in December..8 in January in Jackson Hole..and 6 in April in VT...I wish I would have used more vacation time in the winter..I am using 4 more days for a family trip to Virginia in July..but if I was out of vacation time, I'd still go since my Dad is the boss. Next winter I need to use more vacation time..

I say burn the vacation days in mid winter when the conditions are good ... You can't count on April dumps. Always get it while you can ...

Not saving them for April dumps, but rather killer soft spring bumps!

....I can't match Greg's...but

Ahhh Greg you rappah'...
Agree with SIKSKIER and OldsnowboarderME on that....
The snow in December up at the Loaf was amazing this last season... Got the solid base and never got rained on till January. Pretty amazing for New England..imho.

*On a real positive note, in passing by a television this morning...I overheard on CNN the mention of someone in some part of our beloved congressional Washington pushing for a 4-day work week.....WOOOOHOOOOOOO! What a novel idea...

Although you don't get the mad steezy vert I get...you ski a ton for having a wife and two little kids..mad props..:daffy:

I do all right. My wife is a patient one. I keep telling her that if I can get the kids hooked, I'll be dragging them along in years to come.

I've become something I never thought I would.....a weekend warrior.

I took ONE personal day for skiing this winter on Christmas Eve drove to Black and the damn mountain was closed.

Next winter it will be much of the same. The following winter I will have an additional 5 vacay days and will probably use 3 for a five day trip to Vermont in early March. Then the year after an additional 5 vacay days and I hope to make my triumphant return out west, hopefully to SLC.
