Shimano's WH-RS20-A Clincher Wheelset benefits directly from the wheel technology developed for Shimano's top-tier Dura-Ace. The most notable is the incorporation of Shimano's angular contact bearings. This may seem like a small feat, but it makes a world of lateral and torsional rigidity come to life under your legs. The bearings' shape allows them to be pushed as far outboard as possible. This makes the hub a wider platform for the spokes to stand on, and thus creates a stiffer wheel with higher spoke tension-think about the difference between someone pushing you with your feet together, and then again with your feet shoulder-width apart. While this system adds weight at the hub, it takes it away from the rim.
