Nice MRG stoke pre-bumps. Must have been opening weekend, which ever year it was filmed. Love the right side option on Paradise... that second drop is way better than the entrance drop (which usually has a crappy landing but the early season is nice). I hit up MRG for opening weekend this year... a lot easier to slay Paradise without bumps.

Must have gotten it first thing in the morning. We didn't get there on opening day until after lunch and it was pretty darn rocky in places since it had been quite tracked out by then. We should have hit that first thing, too!

Yeah, it certainly doesn't look rocky or very tracked out in the video. Knowing you I'm sure you were finding goods elsewhere first thing in the morning instead...

Nick, you've never been there?

It is by far my favorite eastern ski location. Amazing old school NE terrain, spectacular on a pow day.

I haven't been in 2-3 years; on my list this season.

This MRG vid has been my favorite. Just like the music, the skiing & the snow. To bad because the picture was much clearer when it was originally posted on their website but now you can only get it on youtube. I happened to be there this day. It's titled delayed powder day because it snowed the day before (had a pow day at K-mart) but the single didn't open because of wind & all that pow was just laying there for the taking. With all the snow I just thought if now's not a good time to hit MRG when is. I didn't know the single was closed the day before, how lucky am I.

How you post a youtube on here anyway?

Just post the youtube ID (the part after v= and before & in the URL, GCkhgH8H52M in your case) inside of youtube tags. Example:

Code:
[PLAIN][youtube]GCkhgH8H52M[/youtube][/PLAIN]

I fixed your post above for you.

Thanks bvibert.

Another thing I wanted to mention is that there is a hour long PBS documentary titled "The Making of Mad River Glen". I only saw it once on TV several years ago. It was a very interesting documentary about how the ski area was developed. If I remember right the first year Mad River was supposed to open it couldn't because of lack of snow that winter. Anyway if you ever see it listed it's well worth the watch.
