Resort or Ski Area: Ski Sundown

Conditions: Man made hard pack, partly sunny skies

Trip Report: Arrived early to avoid the crowds. They have blown a lot of snow since I was there on New Years Eve and you can tell by the mountains of snow by each snow gun. I mostly skied Canyon Run, Exhibition and Temptor all of which were really good. Didn't go down Gunbarrel since they had racing gates set up. Talking to a few people on the lifts that did go down it claimed that there were spots of death cookies and one person even claimed there were death cakes on it.

It appears that the triple closest to Gunbarrel stopped again for a bit with people on it. Appears Brian was able to move it along and get everyone off. By the time I was leaving they had it up and going again.

Great morning of skiing and will probably be there again tomorrow morning to do it again.

Didn't hang around for the grand opening of the terrain park, eh? Apparently WCCC was supposed to be there 12-2pm doing giveaways.

Sounds like a great morning out! The lift that went down is the one we usually call lift 2. Glad Brian was able to get it running again! ;) It is pretty amazing how much snow they've blown over the last few days. I believe they started the guns Tues night when I was working, and last night there were huge mounds on the top... plus many of the trails were much changed by all the new snow. It's all good, though. Hopefully it will last out the upcoming thaw.

Glad you had fun. It looked like a nice to day to be out there sliding. They did make a ton of snow, the guns were going till right around 8 this morning. There are some HUGE whales on Gunny that I could see form the bottom.
