Date(s) Skied: 2.6.10

Resort or Ski Area: Ski Sundown

Conditions: 20's, machine groomed, packed pow, bumps

Trip Report: Back to Sundown today with my kids. Jake went off on his own while Meg and I skied. Conditions hadn't changed much since last night except the lighting was better.

Skied mostly Tom's and Canyon Run with a dip in the Ex bumps each time. The bumps on EX were quite busy today, lots of folks checking them out.

Pleasantly surprised that the crowds were not bad at all. Only a few minutes wait at most for a chair.

Skied with Abby today. Even coaxed her onto Gunbarrel. The first half of the run was great. The bottom half was her straightlining it and me frantically yelling "turn!" like an idiot. She made it down, a bit shaken, and once the tears cleared she admitted it was scary and fun all at the same time.

Overall her skiing was great though. did only one Tom's run. The rest was all Canyon Run and Nor'easter and the Gunny run. First day that I felt I got in a solid ski day as well. Ripped the Ex bumps each time down as I'm comfortable with her going down on her own now. Abby even dipped into Ex for her first 6 or 7 mogul turns today! :)

Abby is turning into quite the skier!

She's doing well. This is her 4th season. I think her little sister is eventually going to overtake her though. They both seem to love it though and that's what's important.

Had lots of fun out there with my nephew, mostly skied N'easter to Ex all day. First run down he spots the lower Ex bumps and goes right for them, but ends up hitting a couple icy spots and stays out of them the rest of the day. Instead he he hits the upper N'easter bumps every run instead!

Greg, we'll catch up to you and Abster out on the hill one of there days for some turns instead of always seeing each other in the lodge!
