In the flatlands of Ct. for a little bit longer.
After using both for dryland training i would have to say that
Two Bosu Balls > The Skiers Edge
Waaaay Cheaper and you can do alot more balance cross training with the Bosu Ball.
You can laugh all you want but two balls really are better than one.
You can spin 360's and 180's between two bosu's which you cannot do on the edge.

They are alot stronger then you think. It's not like they are made in korea or china. :p
They also cost a little more then you might think. I think they cost around $130.00 a piece.
I think it might be the best piece of equipment out there right now for skier cross training.
Put two of them side by side and compare what you can do with them compared to the skiers edge and then compare the price.
On the skiers edge you are stuck on the platform. On the bosu balls you can jump as high as you can. I would suggest being careful when you start spinning 3's.
Squats, one legged squats, lunges, etc. etc. are all better with a bosu ball.

When I was rehabbing from my acl the physical therapist had me on one upside down which turns them into a balance board type thing. I've thought about getting one ever since.

That's a great price as long as it's not a knockoff product.
With that price i might buy like 4 more and set up a little dryland bump run. LOOK OUT! Getting crazy now. Seriously though if you lined up 10 of them in a diagonal pattern that would be a hell of a workout.

Interesting. They have a couple at my gym. Might need to check it out and incorporate into my workouts here and there.

So what you're saying is that all you need is a set of balls to be a good skier? Will they help with small to medium sized half pipes too?

I don't know if they will help in a small to medium sized pipe as i haven't skied in one since Powder Ridge shut down.
Maybe i will have one of my girlfriends make a video of her bouncing on my Bosu Balls.
