Skiing Easter weekend?

I've never skiied on Easter weekend before-- how crowded is it typically? Or does it depend more on when Easter falls-- like since it's early this year, it will likely be a busier time? Is Easter Sunday usually a quiet day to ski or a zoo, what with some people taking a long weekend?
I want to make use of my day off of work the Friday before Easter and go skiing, but I just want to know what to expect as far as crowds in general . . .Thanks

Where are you planning on going? That can make a big difference.
I'd agree...I plan on being at Pats Peak on Good Friday and because it's further south I'm not expecting too many people. Don't think it will be a powder day, but if the sun's out and the temps are normal there should be some nice spring conditions.

Not sure where I'll be going-- I usually decide the night before . . . I tend to ski the places that tend towards being more crowded anyway-- but even at such places there is crowded and then there is nightmare crowded.
I'll probably go somewhere in Southern VT on Fri-- Okemo, Statton, Mt Snow-- might possibly drive as far as Sugarbush.
I'll probably skip skiing on Sat and then was considering skiing Easter Sunday if it typically is not super busy (busier than a normal Sunday). Either go back to Southern VT or do Sunapee or Bretton Woods in NH.

Check for special events for Easter Sunday. At Jay they always have a sunrise service where you take the Tram between 5:00 & 6:00 AM to the top of the mountain then after the service they allow you to ski back down.

We have skied Easter for many years but it usually falls in April when the crowds are non existent. This year should be a little more crowded but I don't expect any lift lines.

Add Magic to your list, then strike-out Stratton, Okemo and Mt. Snow.

my bro lives down there and my folks go down for 8 wks each winter, so this is the obligitory trip down...would rather be skiing, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do....one of the best trips i had as a kid was skiing Deer Valley over easter....sunny, 70 degrees, girls in bikinis skiing and lounging out at the mid base area with palm trees in the snow....we all had to go into town and buy baseball hats and shortsleeve t's as it was too warm to ski in what we brought with us...as well as alot of sunscreen!!
